Maison Rosa, our gorgeous 2 bedroom farmhouse retreat, has flagstone and wood floors, large bedrooms, thick stone walls and stunning mountain views from the balcony and garden.

Built into the hillside on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Montvilliers, Maison Rosa has lots of lovely walks, cycling and skiing on the doorstep. It’s in an ideal spot for touring in the Alps and is just a short drive to the ski slopes and lifts of Montalbert (La Plagne

Farmhouse

Maison Rosa is an 18th century farmhouse with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sitting room and dining kitchen (both with log stoves). It has a large garden with sweeping views down the valley towards Italy, and is surrounded by open countryside. Situated on the edge of the old alpine farming hamlet of Montvilliers, with its apple orchards, wild flower meadows and surrounding forest, Maison Rosa is the perfect spot for a relaxing summer or winter retreat.

The farmhouse comprises:

• Flagstone entrance hall with shower room and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer
• 2 bedrooms (one ensuite) sleeping up to 6 people (one double and one quad)
• Cosy sitting room with log stove, comfy sofas and lovely views (sofa bed for 2 if required)
• Large farmhouse-style kitchen diner with flagstone floors and log stove, dining area opening out to garden patio
• Free wifi internet access, DVD player and stereo
• Garden with stunning mountain and woodland views, sunny lounging and BBQ area
• Ski / bike store and private parking for 2 car

Village

Montvilliers is an old alpine farming hamlet surrounded by ancient apple orchards, beautiful wild flower meadows and forest. There are lots of good walks, cross country skiing and mountain biking routes straight from the door. We can provide maps and route suggestions, or help you hire a guide.

The hamlet is very quiet, reached along narrow country lanes with very little through traffic. There's a bakery and village store in Longefoy, the next village (20 minute walk), and you can also walk up to Montalbert with its restaurants and bars (25 minutes). Its tranquil, old-fashioned atmosphere offers a welcome contrast to purpose-built ski resorts with their package tour operators and crow

Outdoor activities

The farmhouse is in a very convenient spot for all sorts of mountain activities including walking, cycling, white water rafting, mountain biking and skiing. All are available within a short drive of the chalet.

It's also just a short hop to the lifts in Montalbert, La Plagne - 5 minutes up the hill by car. 

Prices
