Penthouse Chalet (self-catered)

For guests looking for more independence, we can offer self-catered occupancy of Maison Caramel's stylish top floor penthouse for groups of 8 or more (smaller groups possible).

Accessed by a set of log steps cut into the hillside at the side of the house, it has a wonderful alpine chalet feel with vaulted beamed ceilings, 4 ensuite bedrooms (three with mezzanines and most with balconies), a spacious living/dining area with log stove and lovely mountain views, and a well-equipped kitchen. It's just a short walk from the village shuttle bus stop for Peisey Vallandry (operates in the summer & winter seasons), or you can self-drive to the ski lifts and back in Montchavin-Les Coches (10 minutes).

It's a great spot for walking, cycling and mountain biking too. There are lots of lovely walks / rides in the surrounding area, accessible straight from the door. There's also white water rafting in summer down at the river base (approx 1km) and swimming in the fresh water lake (approx 3km).

Self-catered prices (7 nights, any start day)

The self-catered price includes bed linen, towels, electricity, hot water and firewood. There is a 100€ charge for cleaning on departure. A 500€ refundable security deposit is required on arrival, refunded on departure less any breakages or charges for cleaning.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking. The balance is payable at least 10 weeks in advance of the holiday start date. Payment is possible in pounds or euros by bank transfer, credit card or cheque. Ask us for details.

Short break self-catered prices (2 nights minimum)

Short stays of 2 nights or more are possible in off-peak periods and start from 295€, extra nights 120 - 170€ per night.

Dogs allowed

You are welcome to bring your pet dog(s) on holiday too if you wish. They'll love the meadow and mountain walks straight from the door, and there's an enclosed garden running along the length of the penthouse (accessed straight from the sitting room and entrance hall).

It's just 10€ per dog, per day (discounts possible for longer stays). While we love dogs too, we do ask that you keep them off the furniture and out of the bedrooms.
